Anthony Brown - retrospective exhibition

Anthony Browne is no double one of the best children book illustrators and story tellers in the world! His picture books are not only suitable for children but they are loved by many adults. I am, no double, one of his many fans!

What a great honor to meet him and have my books signed!

His STORIES - written in simple language, yet creative and inspiring. The beauty of it is that one can read the same story many times and feel differently each time - sentimental, romantic, up lifting...

His ILLUSTRATIONS - filled with imaginative and subtle symbolic meanings; if you are familiar with western historical paintings, you'll love them more!

I was rather nervous when chatting to my idol! The first thing Anthony said to me was that he sensed that I was a children illustrator! Can you spot my elephant illustration above the book where Anthony was signing?

If you are interested to read Anthony's books, try these!

Adam's and Regine's Wedding Card 2010

Adam and Regine have been a couple for many years, most of the time, Regine was living in San Francisco while Adam was in London. Once they get married, both of them will be living in the same country! So for their wedding invites, they wants to use a theme that symbolises distance and getting together. The theme of sailing is a great way to represent their situation - They travelled far to finally be with one another!

Both of them really like this tattoo designed by 'Sailor Jerry'. The original artwork has two American flags on each side.

Since Adam is from the UK, he wants me to change the flag on the right to a Union Jack instead:

So here is my attempt! 'Is it a rather unusual design for a wedding card!?
I'd rather like it as it looks rough and tough! Like Adam's and  Regine's love!

Regine says, 'The design was really creative and true to the spirit of the bride and groom.'
